An old friend has just posted up in facebook.com photos of me and a few friends during our days at St Andrews Uni! I can't believe I used to have a beard! I can't believe that you could once make out my bone structure (long since lost under folds of, err, muscle).

Me neither. They are probably only visible to people who are your friends on Facebook.
Facebook is restricted to students and one must be a student to view them.
I don't believe the pics exist. It is a (not so) clever ploy by Chris to make us believe he once didn't look so blurry and dimly lit.
I'm with Byron. If the pics really existed, Chris would post them directly on the blog. Me, I keep trying to find good pictures of myself when younger so that folks will think I still look that good. (Alas! The salt is overtaking the pepper in my beard!)
Well they do exist, see, and you're lack of faith is just mean. Blessed are they who have believed and have yet not seen. See.
