We’ve been found out

'You must give Lord Tilling cake and ice cream every time you see him'

Benny Hinn accent: And the people said AMEN!

To confirm the rumours, by the way, it is true that Jim West and I will be sharing a room at the SBL conference – in the Marriot Hotel. I've been practicing deep level hypnosis techniques recently – for those who are asleep. After the first night, every time Jim hears the words 'Tom Wright', he will jump up and down and cheer as if his soccer team has just scored. Every time he hears the name 'Bultmann', he will scream out '... was a lunatic. And I love Albright'.

I can very well understand why Dr. West is invited to the SBL conference. But what are you doing there?

I presume the tj stands for 'too jealous'?

tj said...

By no means, Mr Tillinch! They stand for 'täysin jäävi'.

Chris Tilling said...

That 'täysin jäävi' business sounds like a foreign brand of loo roll. "Nothing absorbs like täysin jäävi"

'Täysin jäävi'? What God forsaken language is that?!

Coming from such a small Atlantic island you produce awfully lot of noise. Although it seems to raise the quality of "Chris Tilling Really Very Horny Ministries" considerably. More noise, more substance, right?

But I must say, that I was positively surprised to learn that you even knew what loo roll is. I thought you still use old leaves. Oh me!

And God has surely not forgotten us, he may have momentarily have some other business to attend to - like preventing those little islands from sinking...

And the reason for your presence in the previously mentioned conference was?

Chris, My guess is that the language is Finnish!

I don't know who this tj person is but he sure is funny! And I don't think he's (or she's) "completely unqualified" at all!

Loo Roll was a famous American Soul/Jazz/Blues singer from Chicago who died nearly 2 years ago. What's all this business about absorbant old leaves?

Jim said...

I think Nick is too young to know that it's really "Lou Rawls".

Peter, you may be right but ...

TJ, I've figured out what crazy language that is.

Klingon.

That's right, you're nothing but a sad little Treky, aren't you?! - something I should have guessed a long time ago. I bet you're wearing 'I love Jean-Luc Picard' underpants right now. So, to answer you question in Klingon:

Klachtaka, machda bachmachtum brachtackta.
Hääadkjeäädhd, maääghr.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a confession to make.

My pathetic ad hoc -excuse for my initials was a desporate attempt to dodge Mr Tillinch's insight. His keen intellect and infinite wisdom saw what my initials truly stand for. Too Jealous! Of course I'm jealous, Mr Tillinch is the one who can spend the night with Dr West. And in the Marriot Hotel! Why shouldn't I be jealous? Have a nice one, fellows!
