Windows of the soul

I love looking at other people's bookshelves. I'm persuaded it says a lot about a person. The shelf below constitutes about half of my to read / being read / being re-read pile – though included are only those books that are not a direct part of my doctoral studies. The latter occupy different shelves. This is what I enjoy reading in my spare time.

What a glorious, glorious feast! Jim, I want to draw attention to the big blue one in the top photo towards the left. My all-time favourite!

This is uncanny! This morning I was going to write a post and call for people to photograph their bookshelves and post them for all to see, but then I thought that no one would be interested so I didn't do it.

I love to see what other people are reading!

Most of my books are in boxes in the spare bedroom (still); gotta get Ella's room painted and get her moved in there before I can move the study into her 'old' nursery ... and then unpack the books. Thanks for the reminder that my treasures are languishing in boxes ...

Just curious, Chris, why Wright's "Jesus..." book is your all-time fav. I have the book, but have yet to read it.

Prophetic Nick

Dave, You need to read it, then you'll see. I've never read the Gospels, or the Bible, the same way again.

Great!

One issue, though: Please make also the second picture available in larger format.

Or is there too few blue books there?

I agree with Chris, "Jesus and the Victory of God" is also my all-time favourite. Chris says that he has never read the Gospels or the Bible the same way again, but I've discovered that I can skip reading the Gospels or the Bible and just keep reading Wright over and over.
