Steven Harris’ Apology

Some of you may now have read about Steven's transgressions and his recent public apology to me.

In response I would say, Steven, that I noticed your transgressions with some consternation, sadness and mindless violent wrath (three kittens had to be microwaved before my blind anger started to subside – their blood is on your conscience). I can only respond to your post by noting the scene in 1 Enoch where the unrighteous beg for mercy. But as you may know, they don't receive a drop of divine pity, and though I cannot remember the details at the moment, their end involves various appropriate un-pleasantries.

And as others will have read, Steven is enrolling into the Police force. Well that makes him easier to contact of course: Dial 999 and ask for Steven. But I would also add, if you catch me speeding, Steven, I will deny everything. Your word against mine.

I've read one debate Wright had with Crossan on the resurrection.

And I read one exchange Wright had concerning his book on the resurrection with a theologian in a religion journal.

Does anyone know where else Wright attempts to interact with critics of his work on the resurrection, because he doesn't seem to have done much interacting. And I've run across a number of criticisms of the book.

there's a book entitled, "Jesus & the Restoration of Israel" where you've got about a dozen heavy-weights (Blomberg, Hays, Timothy-Johnson, Borg) contributing articles regarding Wright's Jesus and Victory of God.

Wright then writes the final essay (more or less) responding to all of them.

oops...sorry, Edward, I didn't notice you were asking about Wright's work on the resurrection...:)

Hi Edward, thanks for your comments - though I won't have too much time alloted for conversing on many.

Wright engages with some issues, if I remember, in Suprised by Hope.

Apart from that, his out put has been largely focused at the popular level recently. But respond he will in due time, I am sure.

Alwyn, but its a great book, eh?!
