In the recent evangelikale Theologie (14/1 2008, pp. 25-26), my friend Volker Rabens gives a short report about his forthcoming publication in the Mohr Siebeck WUNT II series. I look forward to saying more about his volume in the coming months, but I can tell you now that his work, The Holy Spirit and Ethics in Paul: Transformation and Empowering for Religious-Ethical Life (London School of Theology / Brunel University, 2007; WUNT II / Mohr Siebeck, 2008) is of the highest quality, and is an important contribution to his field. If you are working on anything relating to Paul and ethics or the Spirit, you will want to interact with this one.

I want to interact with it! But I can't seem to find any information online, and I suspect that, as a Mohr Siebeck book, it'll be out of my price range.
However, I could be wrong. Any way of getting more info?
Hi Dan,
thanks for your interest. The book isn't published yet. Probably it'll have to wait until the beginning of 2009 because I'm busy with lecturing at the moment, and it needs formating into the WUNT style. As the material is already under contract, I'm not sure I can email it to you. I'll publish an English summary in Tyndale Bulletin - I could email that to you in the summer, if you're interested (or give you the German summary now).
What are you working on?
Greetings,
Volker
PS Thanks, Chris, for the kind words.
Hi Volker,
Thanks for following up on this! I'm currently working on a thesis about eschatology and politics in Paul's day and ours, and so your title caught my eye -- as did Chris' glowing (albeit brief) review.
I plan to be done my thesis by Dec '08, so it looks as though I won't be able to use your book, if it comes out in '09. However, I would be interested in reading your summary. Chris has my email address, so could you get that from him (it's better than leaving it here in a blog comment) and send me the German copy? Thanks so much!
Sure! Chris, please send me an email with Dan's address. Thanks.
